Access to clean drinking water is a pressing issue in Guatemala, as tap water is not safe to consume. While tourists can afford purified bottled water, many locals cannot this luxury. Consequently, over half of Guatemalan families have no choice but to drink contaminated water, leading to widespread intestinal issues. Water-borne diseases are alarmingly common due to the presence of harmful bacteria and parasites, causing an estimated 80% of infectious diseases in the region, contributing to high rates of diarrhea and chronic malnutrition.

At Soul139, our mission is to provide life-saving water filters to families in need. We aspire to adopt villages and equip every household with these crucial filters. Over 80% of the villages we serve lack access to clean drinking water. Our filters, made of clay, sawdust, colloidal silver, and carbon, are gravity-fed ceramic filters that eliminate 99% of pathogens, rendering the water safer for consumption and cooking. We also offer in-home training on filter maintenance.
